Jami is a Physiotherapist and Certified Athletic Therapist with a Master’s in Physical Therapy from McGill University and a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science (Athletic Therapy) from the University of Manitoba. She has over a decade of experience working in elite sport, including with Hockey Canada’s Women’s Program since 2009.
Career highlights include being part of the gold medal-winning teams at the IIHF Women’s World Championships in 2021 and 2024, and the 2022 Olympic Winter Games with women’s ice hockey. She has also supported athletes at the 2019 Pan Am Games, 2020 Youth Olympic Games, 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 Pan Am Games, and the 2024 Paris Olympics as a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Core Medical Team.
In addition to her sport work, Jami has clinical experience with military personnel, both in Canada and during deployments in Afghanistan and Latvia. She is committed to continuing education, with advanced training in acupuncture, dry needling, SFMA, FMS, the McKenzie Method, and manual therapy, and has served as both a clinical supervisor and national examiner for athletic therapy certification.
