I am the owner and operator of Competitive Will Performance Consulting, a high-performance consulting company focused on individual and organizational routes to success. I have extensive experience creating and delivering mental performance, leadership and culture development plans for individual athletes, coaches and organizations. Prior to working in the performance psychology field, I coached ice hockey at the minor, junior and collegiate level in North America.

I currently work with the Utah Mammoth (NHL) as a draft consultant in mental performance.  I am also the Director of Performamce for the Weyburn Red Wings (SJHL) and Mental Performance Consultant for the Prince Albert Raiders (WHL) where I oversee and integrate our mental performance program with athletes and staff. These consulting positions consider development plans and research for our athletes and prospects as it relates to their best version both on and off the ice. These positions create an opportunity to build experience and establish a narrative using aspects such as motivational interviewing, psychological scouting and mental performance development to grow mindset and ultimately perform under pressure.

More recently, I was the lead mental performance consultant with Team Canada’s National Para Ice Hockey team. In my experience with the National Para Team, I have developed a thorough mental skills initiative in connection with the athletes Gold Medal Profile and individual performance planning.  This four-year plan was in preparation for the Paralympic Games (Beijing 2022). This integration and approach encompassed mental skills development at the athlete level, next generation and coach level to innovate and enhance performance. In 2020-2021, I was awarded with an Innovation 4 Gold (I4G) for continued work on profiling of athletes and mental performance programing. Along with my work with the Para Team, I also worked within the Program of Excellence at Hockey Canada.

I continue to work with numerous amateur and professional/Olympic athletes in a variety of sports on an individual basis through their competitive season on high performance. Areas these plans include are leadership, stress management, character building, mindset development and psychological skills acquisition.
